Visit to Chelmsford Prison

This week I visited Chelmsford Prison and met the prison governor Steve Rodford OBE. The prison is a facility for all of Essex and as the local MP I want to make sure that there is a good dialogue between myself and the staff at the prison. I was very impressed with the hard work they are doing.

My Recess

I am often asked what MPs do when Parliament has its’ summer recess. This is not a time to put my feet up. It is an important chance to catch up with local issues and do some homework before term restarts.

Public Services Update

The past few weeks have brought good news for Chelmsford public services. NHS leaders have announced that we will keep the 24 hour A&E department at Broomfield Hospital.

Joining The Rail Task Force

I am delighted to be joining the Great Eastern Mainline Taskforce.  It is important to work with colleagues up and down the railway line use one collective voice to call for strategic investment in our rail line.

Transport Investment Plan
