Last night I made my Maiden Speech in the UK House of Commons during the debate on the Queen's Speech in the first day of the new Parliament focusing on investing in innovation and infrastructure to build the strong economy we need to support our public services.
Chelmsford is a brilliant city - I told the colleagues about outstanding work happening at Teledyne e2v Anglia Ruskin University and Broomfield Hospital as well as our beautiful Chelmsford Cathedral.
On Brexit, I spoke of the need for a deep long term partnership to give stability and certainty, and some of my views on how this could be achieved.
