This evening I have voted for the new Tobacco and Vapes Bill. I would like to explain the rationale behind my vote. This was a free vote.

I visited Chelmsford Prison along with my colleague Stephen Metcalfe the MP for Basildon. I visit the prison regularly but this was Stephen’s first visit.

I recently asked for some data so I could see how our local GP services compared to pre pandemic.

I started the week with a visit to one of Chelmsford’s Outstanding nurseries.

Update on Beaulieu Station. I have been sent new ariel footage of the work that is happening at our new railway station.

This week in Westminster I arranged for Essex MPs and the Health Minister to meet with the head of the Mid and South Essex Hospitals Trust which includes Broomfield, Basildon and Southend Hospitals.

At the end of March 2024,  MPs from across Mid and South Essex met with the Chief Executive of our local hospitals including Broomfield, Basildon and Southend Hospitals. The Health Minister also attended the meeting in Westminster.

Performance has improved.
