Vicky celebrated the re-opening of local businesses on Monday, 17th May 2021 by visiting some of the local independent coffee shops in Moulsham Street, Chelmsford.

Vicky Ford MP started her week with an early morning visit to an independent salon, The Chelmsford Skin Clinic.  She then stopped for a coffee with newly elected Councillor, Rob Gisby at Chelmsford’s newest coffee shop Cake and Company before also popping in to visit Loubees Tea Room and The Lemon Tree.

Before she set off to Westminster for a busy week Vicky said, “It’s great to see our Coffee Shops, Cafes, Bars and Restaurants being able to reopen this week. Chelmsford is teeming with small businesses, and I do hope local residents come out to support them as they re-open after such a difficult lock down.”

A week in the life of Vicky Ford MP

In Westminster this week I have been involved in debates on three different Statutory Instruments.   Acts of Parliament which set out our laws, often delegate to ministers the powers to make decisions on detailed areas of policy via follow up in Statutory Instruments (SIs).
