As a mum, I know how hard it can be for parents. As a daughter of older parents, I have seen how important it is to support them. I will always support children, families and older people.
I have enjoyed being out and about all across Chelmsford, knocking on doors and talking with people. It’s also been a chance to catch up with so many people I have been able to help over the past seven years and find out how they are doing now.

This week I have made some great progress with my Private Members Bill on School attendance. I have now formally tabled the draft Bill and it has been published. I have also spoken in a debate in the Common’s Chamber and lead a debate in parliament’s second chamber, Westminster Hall.
I have been busy behind the scenes working on the issue of school attendance. Since the beginning of the pandemic the numbers of children missing out on school have surged. Recent data shows that last year nearly 1 in 5 children were persistently absent, missing out on more than ten percent of
