More Police are out and about on Essex Streets, keeping us safe and tackling crime.   Over the past six years, over 900 more police officers have joined Essex Police and serious crime rates have dropped. I want our police out on the streets, tackling the issues that matter to you. Working with our Police Commissioner, Roger Hirst, I helped secure £550,000 of funding from the Government's Safer Street fund to improve safety in the Bunny Walks area and other vital projects.

This week brought the first Parliament sitting in the New Year, and it was straight back to a flurry of work.  The extremely moving ITV drama of Alan Bates versus the Post Office has shone a public eye on the dreadful miscarriage of justice faced by sub-postmasters over so many years.  Th

It was a bit cold and a bit dark the other evening when I went to have a look, but its brilliant that the new CCTV camera between the Bunny Walks and the Avenues footpath has gone live.
